I am Rebecca...
I have performed spoken word in numerous venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, the Arnolfini, St George’s and Colston Hall. In 2012 I was awarded the Rising Stars Performance Poetry Award and spoke at the annual Mix Conference on the theme of Digital Media and Poetry. When not performing I teach spoken word in multiple venues, for schools and arts organisations including the Barbican Theatre and Royal Geographical Society. In San Francisco, I worked for the globally-recognised creative writing centre, 826 Valencia. Back home I was a poetry facilitator on Shake The Dust, the UK’s largest ever teen spoken word slam which appeared in schools throughout the country. I also have an intense love of black coffee, the Deep South and possess some exceptional dance moves.

 I am Kesty...

I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and I’ve performed and taught drama and music all over the world, including London, Hong Kong, China, Brazil, Germany, and India.I’ve acted for notable institutions such as The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Barbican Theatre, and eminent directors such as Adrian Noble, Sam Yates and Emma Callander, but I have emphasised theatre-through-social change: touring verbatim theatre with Alecky Blythe and Theresa Heskins, working extensively with Theatre Uncut (Heralds Angels, Fringe First and Spirit of the Fringe award winners and Amnesty International nominees) most notably at The Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh and the Young Vic in London. I’ve also worked with Actors for Refugees including a performance at Amnesty International in London. Alongside performing I’ve taught drama for schools in Hong Kong, and for the Clevedon, Long Ashton and Portishead branches of Stagecoach for many years as well as regular classes in Drama and Singing for the Bristol School of Performing Arts. I am part of, and helped set up, Community Conscious, an organisation aimed at bringing alternative therapies to under served groups.
